By using Vane, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms apply to all users — guests and registered members.

2. What Vane Does

Vane is a personal travel intelligence tool. It combines real-time weather data, your health and preference profile, and AI reasoning to give you personalized packing lists, clothing suggestions, and travel advice. Vane is a decision-support tool — it helps you prepare better, not make decisions for you.

3. Not Medical Advice

Vane's advice — including allergy warnings, sun sensitivity guidance, and medical flag recommendations — is informational only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns. Never make health decisions based solely on Vane's suggestions.

4. Weather Accuracy

Vane uses real-time and historical weather data from third-party sources. Weather is inherently uncertain. Vane makes no guarantee that its weather predictions, climate comparisons, or packing recommendations will be accurate for your specific trip. Always check official weather sources before travel, especially for safety-critical decisions.

Trip notes and feedback you submit are yours. By submitting feedback, you grant Vane a limited license to use anonymized, aggregated versions of that feedback to improve the AI recommendation engine. We will never publish or share your personal feedback tied to your name.

Vane is provided as-is. We strive for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We'll try to give notice for significant changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vane is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to travel disruptions, packing decisions, or health outcomes based on Vane's recommendations. Your use of Vane is at your own risk.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of Vane after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email.
